TARGET-COURSE WEEKEND 1

Periodontal Procedures Simplified For General Practitioners

January 26-27, 2007

Have you ever wondered if there are courses that give you the power to choose the part (or all-of-the courses) that apply to you? At the Dental Implant Institute we have designed four new courses called "Target" courses. These courses provide an exciting weekends where you are in control of what course or courses you take. You can choose one or all four courses, or any combination of the courses offered during the weekend. Why not Target the success of your practice with these courses? These courses will help you to "hit-the-target" of the growing demand for esthetic dentistry brought on by the "Baby Boomer Generation." Sign up NOW for any combination of these courses or take all of them together. Hit your target goals for 2007!

Hydraulic Sinus Condensing™ (HSC)

February 16-17, April 13-14, June 1-2, September 14-15, October 5-6, November 30-December 1st/2007

Hydraulic Sinus Condensing™ (HSC) is today's premier technique for sinus augmentation. Less invasive than prior sinus augmentation techniques, HSC utilizes water and air pressure to prevent membrane perforation, with condensers to gently build up the sinus floor. This course will show how to perform HSC in any situation, including cases with severely atrophic maxilla, septum presence and severely sloping sinus floors. You will also learn HSC with immediate implant placement and platform switching for initial stabilization. Never before has Sinus Condensing been so easy to perform and so easy on your patients. This course will open your eyes to the future of maxillary implant dentistry.

LIVE SURGERIES (REAL TIME) AND HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS
■ Learn how to perform...
■ Flapless HSC implants.
Extraction, socket graft, ridge augmentaion and HSC implant (all 5 surgeries in I visit.)

Vertical/Horizontal Ridge Augmentation

March 2-3, July 20-21, October 19-20/2007

This course is designed to help you be able to place implants in severely resorbed edentulous ridges. Traditionally block grafts or ridge split would be used with questionable predictability; however, with the help of the Vertical Translation Technique® it is becoming increasingly predictable to place implants under these circumstances using particulate grafts. This minimizes patient's morbidity..

LIVE SURGERIES (REAL TIME) AND HANDS-ON WORKSHOPS
■ Learn how to identify cases where the patient can benefit from Ridge Augmentation without using block grafts.
■ Gain an understanding of the graft material to be used.
■ Learn the flap manipulation and wound closure technique.

Implant Complication Management™ "ICM"™

March 16-17, May 11-12, September 7-8/2007

Implant Complication Management™ "ICM"™ has been voted the "Hottest Lecture Topic" amongst DIILV Alumni courses for the past three years. With the rising number of implant cases every year, it is a natural progression that complications may arise which can range from a loose abutment screw to total fixture failures or damages to vital anatomical structures. These types of complications can occur in your own practice, or a patient may come to you with an already existing problem. ICM™ focuses on solutions for the best method to present and address these problems when they arise.

Vertical Translation Technique™ (VTT)

May 4-5, July 13-14, November 16-17/2007

With the growing esthetic demands brought on by the Baby Boomer generation, gingival esthetics is an increasingly important part of having a beautiful smile. Root Coverage is the hottest topic in perioplastic surgery. Current techniques, with sub-epithelial connective grafts and biocompatible membranes, are shown to have high success rates but still experience some disadvantages. Vertical Translation for Root Coverage uses a new incision design combined with a bone graft cocktail to achieve high success rates and predictability.
You will learn how to use VTT for Root Coverage over natural teeth and dental implants. The course also emphasizes papilla regeneration, and achieving primary closure using the technique. You will also be shown how to perform full-arch root coverage in a single visit. Never before has it been so easy to fix the periodontal defects present in both your current and new patients. You will never turn away another patient due to uncertainty or the unpredictability of a procedure.
This course is designed to elevate your knowledge in your everyday clinical practice. For example: incision design, bone-grafting materials, flap design, tissue manipulation, and especially suturing techniques to prevent less chance of premature exposure of the wound.
